Teeling – Brabazon Bottling Series 03 14 Years (70cl, 49.5%)

This is the third release in the Brabazon Bottling series from the Teeling family, a 14 year old Irish single malt bottled at 49.5% in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey spent 11 years in bourbon casks before a further three years in Pedro Ximénez casks. For this edition the family worked with a wine house that specialises in Pedro Ximénez sherry. The outturn was 10,000 bottles. The nose is typically described as plums and raisins. On the palate come figs and chocolate, sweet but with a spicy edge of nutmeg.
