Master Blender's Batch is an Irish whiskey from Teeling, finished in French red wine casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and was crafted by Alex Chasko.
The nose opens with blackcurrant, cherry and raspberry alongside vanilla, light honey and a touch of cedar. The palate is broad and silky, with strawberry jam and plum, then golden malt, light caramel and sweet spice. Bordeaux oak adds a fine tannic thread.
The finish is long and clean, with blood orange, cocoa, a hint of liquorice and a faint winey aftertaste.
