Teeling – Renaissance Series 5, 18 Year Old (70cl, 57.6%)

Renaissance Series 5 is the fifth release in Teeling's Renaissance series, an Irish single malt aged for 18 years. It is a limited edition. The whiskey was matured in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in ex-Calvados casks before bottling. It is bottled at 57.6% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The nose offers candied apples, cinnamon, baked pears and mint. The palate adds apple pie, raisins, pink pepper, dried cherries, maple syrup and oak, followed by a lingering finish.
