Teeling – Single Grain Cabernet Sauvignon Wine Cask Finish (2020) (46%)

This is a Teeling single grain Irish whiskey finished in Californian Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks. It was bottled in May 2020 at 46% ABV and is non-chill-filtered. It comes with a case. The wine barrels add colour and depth to the grain whiskey. The nose is usually described as ripe red fruit, cherry and berries, followed by vanilla, light caramel and a touch of wood. On the palate it is creamy and smooth, with honey, toffee, soft grain and red grape notes, plus a light spiciness. The finish is medium to long and warm, with lingering fruit and a soft, dry close.
