Teeling – Single Pot Still (70cl, 46%)

Teeling Single Pot Still is an Irish pot still whiskey made from a mash of half malted and half unmalted barley and triple distilled at the Teeling distillery in Dublin. It matures in new American oak, Bourbon casks and sherry casks. It is bottled at 46%, natural colour and not chill-filtered, and follows the pot still style of Dublin's historic distilleries. Cinnamon, roasted almonds and a cream soda sweetness sit alongside its fruity, creamy character. The nose brings fresh fruit, grapefruit and lychee with spice. On the palate, peaches and poached pears meet a creamy texture, with cooked grain and allspice. The finish is dry and spicy, with the sweetness of dark muscovado sugar.
