Teeling – Small Batch

Teeling Small Batch is an Irish whiskey from the Teeling distillery in Dublin, made from a blend of malt and grain whiskeys. It is a boxed bottling. The whiskey was first matured in ex-bourbon casks, then moved for about 12 months into casks that previously held Flor de Caña rum. That extra time adds a little more character, along with sweetness and softness. It is a bright gold colour. The nose is mostly vanilla and spice, with clear hints of rum. The palate is smooth and sweet, rich, with wood, vanilla custard, dried herbs and cinnamon. The finish is spicy, with caramel in the tail and woody shades at the close.
