Teeling – Stout Cask Finish (46%)

This is an Irish whiskey from Teeling, finished in oak casks that previously held dark stout from Galway Bay Brewery. It is bottled at 46% ABV and is not chill-filtered. The stout cask finish is described as adding notes of chocolate, orange and plum to a malty base. On the nose there are caramel, cocoa and dark chocolate. The palate is soft and full, with plums, orange peel and roasted coffee beans. The finish is long and balanced, with burnt oak, spice and chocolate.
