Teeling – Wonders of Wood 2nd Edition (70cl, 50%)

Teeling Wonders of Wood Second Edition is a single pot still Irish whiskey made from an even split of malted and unmalted barley and bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It spent its full maturation in casks of new Portuguese oak, a wood known for high tannins, which gives notes of savoury marmalade, tobacco and pepper. The nose opens with citrus, then old spice, leather and cloves. The palate brings toasted oak, savoury marmalade, pepper and nutmeg, and the finish is warming, with tobacco, pepper and vanilla maltiness.
