Teeling Wonders of Wood Virgin Portuguese Oak (Second Edition) (70cl, 50%)

Teeling Wonders of Wood Virgin Portuguese Oak is the second edition of the series: a triple-distilled Irish single pot still whiskey from the Teeling Distillery in Dublin, bottled at 50% without chill-filtration. The mash bill is equal parts malted and unmalted barley. It matured entirely in new Portuguese oak casks, which bring spice, fruit and pronounced oak character. The nose offers ripe red fruit, berries and pear, with toasted wood and spice. The palate is fruity and spicy, with clear oak, caramel and lightly burnt sugar. The finish is long, with honey, spice, wood and lingering fruit.
