Templeton Midnight Rye is an American rye whiskey bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof). It takes Templeton's spice-forward rye and blends it with a touch of dark Port wine, pairing the peppery bite of the grain with the sweetness of the wine.
The nose shows dark cherry, dried figs, spiced orange peel and warm oak. The palate is silky and full-bodied, with cinnamon, clove and a little dark chocolate alongside jammy Port notes. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit, oak and a trace of black pepper.
