Tequila Ocho produces this single-estate añejo from the Las Raíces field in Jalisco Highlands, Mexico. It is made from 100% Blue Weber agave using traditional methods by Carlos Camarena, and aged for approximately 12 months in Old Fitzgerald wheated bourbon barrels. Bottled at 48% ABV, it is a limited, barrel-select release. The wheated bourbon casks add softer, sweeter oak influence with layers of caramel, vanilla and baking spice without overwhelming the agave. The nose shows caramel, toasted coconut, cacao, roasted agave and subtle citrus. The palate is rich and layered with toffee, coffee, orange peel, baking spice and sweet agave. The finish is long and warming, with oak spice, soft sweetness and lingering agave.
