The Balvenie 12 Year Old Single Barrel is a Speyside single malt from the Dufftown distillery, bottled at 47.8% in a 75cl bottle. Every bottle comes from a single first-fill American oak ex-bourbon cask.
Each cask gives no more than 300 hand-numbered bottles, and the cask number and bottling date are printed on the label. The casks are hand-selected by Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE.
The nose offers honey, ripe tropical fruit, fresh lemon and light baking spice, with a touch of coconut. On the palate are vanilla, shortbread, Granny Smith apple and toasted oak. The finish is sweet and slow, with vanilla, honey and a faint nuttiness at the end.
