The Dalmore 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Select Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 43%)

This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Dalmore, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Maturation begins in bourbon casks, which give Dalmore's familiar notes of chocolate, orange and spice. The whisky is then finished in casks that held a blend of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry, made especially for Dalmore. These add nutty and sweet notes. The nose offers caramelised orange, ginger, raisins and honey. On the palate there are dark chocolate, crushed almonds and cinnamon, followed by sweet mango, panna cotta and lemon cake in the finish.
