The Dalmore 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the distillery in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in two stages: first in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then a portion moves into Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts from González Byass.
The nose has orange marmalade, dark chocolate and ginger over a subtle nuttiness. The palate brings rich coffee, spiced orange and dried fruit with a gentle vanilla sweetness, and cinnamon and nutmeg from the Oloroso casks. The finish is long, with citrus zest, cocoa and delicate spice.
