This is Batch 9 of The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength, a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.1%, and the bottle carries the signature of Billy Walker, master distiller at the distillery since 2017.
The batch is a marriage of whiskies aged for at least 10 years in Pedro Ximenez, oloroso, Rioja and medium-toasted American oak casks.
It is described as having classic sherried notes of dark chocolate and dried fruits, together with sweet spices, red berries and a kick.
