The GlenAllachie – 10 Year Old Batch 9 Cask Strength (70cl, 58.1%)

This is the ninth batch of The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength, a Speyside single malt bottled at its natural strength of 58.1%. Each batch is overseen by Billy Walker, who has run the distillery since 2017 after 50 years in the Scotch whisky industry, and this bottle carries his signature. Batch 9 marries whiskies aged for at least 10 years in Pedro Ximenez, oloroso and Rioja casks, along with medium-toasted American oak. The style is classically sherried, with dark chocolate and dried fruits alongside sweet spices and red berries, and a kick.
