The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 13 is a Speyside single malt bottled at 59.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is the thirteenth batch in the series. The whisky was matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry, oloroso sherry, red wine and virgin oak casks, and has a deep chestnut colour described as burnished mahogany.
The nose brings mocha, crystallised ginger and cinnamon, then manuka honey, muscovado sugar, treacle and maraschino cherries. On the palate come cocoa, salted caramel and warmed honey, with baking spices, blood orange and molasses tart. The finish carries glazed blackberries and fig syrup.
