This is the ninth batch of The GlenAllachie 10 Years Cask Strength, a Speyside single malt bottled at 58.1% ABV in 2023. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky was matured in a mix of PX, Oloroso, virgin oak and Rioja casks.
The nose is rich, with sherry and wine-cask notes of dried and red fruit, raisins, cherries, plums and spice. The palate is sweet and intense, with honey, berries, chocolate and ginger. The finish is medium in length, with a hint of chocolate and warming spice.
