This is a 10 year old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, bottled at its cask strength of 59.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky matures in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, virgin oak and red wine casks, which gives layers of dark fruit, chocolate, spice and vanilla.
The nose has raisins, honey, dark chocolate and orange peel, with cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate come dark cherries, figs, toffee and dark chocolate, with dried fruit, warm spice and mocha. The finish is long and warm, with cocoa, dried fruit, spice and oak.
