This is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, first released as a Europe-only expression. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, with no added colouring and without chill filtration.
The whisky spent more than eight years in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, then over 42 months in Moscatel casks from Portugal.
The nose offers orange blossom, heather honey and citrus, with grapefruit, butterscotch and toffee. On the palate come dark chocolate, grape must and plum jam, then orchard fruit, cinnamon and honeycomb. Ginger and butterscotch carry the finish.
