The GlenAllachie 17 Year Old is a single malt finished in Mizunara and Oloroso casks, bottled as a Masters of Wood release from Master Distiller Billy Walker.
Mizunara is a Japanese oak that is seldom used to mature whisky because it is costly and prone to leaking. Here the Mizunara barrels are combined with Oloroso puncheons and hogsheads.
The whisky is bottled at 50% ABV, with natural colour and without chill filtration, in a 70cl bottle.
