This is a 17 year old single malt from The GlenAllachie, finished in Mizunara oak and Oloroso sherry casks. It is a Masters of Wood bottling, put together by Master Distiller Billy Walker, and it is bottled at 50% ABV with natural colour and without chill filtration.
Mizunara is a Japanese oak that is seldom used for maturing whisky because of its high cost and its tendency to leak. Here the Mizunara barrels are paired with Oloroso puncheons and hogsheads.
