A 35-year-old single malt from GlenAllachie, distilled in 1990 and bottled at a cask strength of 50.2%. Master Distiller Billy Walker chose four cask types for this limited edition: American virgin oak, Oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximénez sherry and Mizunara oak, the Japanese wood coming from trees 200 years old. The colour is a deep mahogany.
The nose brings mocha, crystallised cinnamon and treacle tart, with cocoa, roasted hazelnuts, fresh pineapple, ginger and heather honey. On the palate come cocoa, baking spices, chocolate-covered raisins and coconut. The finish carries sandalwood, soft vanilla, dried red fruit and gingerbread.
