The GlenAllachie 21 Year Old Batch 6 is a cask strength Speyside single malt, bottled at 52.8% in a 70cl bottle without added colouring or chill filtration.
Master Distiller Billy Walker matured it in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks sourced from Spain. This batch combines four sherry puncheons and hogsheads.
The nose offers ripe dark cherries, brandied honeycomb, spiced orange, treacle and blackberry tart. On the palate come dark chocolate, dried red berries and maraschino cherries, then heather honey and crystallised ginger, with plum brandy and mocha in the finish.
