The GlenAllachie – 9 Year Old 2014 Amontillado Sherry Series (70cl, 48%)

The GlenAllachie 9 Year Old 2014 is a Speyside single malt finished in hogsheads that previously held Amontillado sherry. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration. Amontillado begins life as a Fino, then ages further without a layer of flor, which gives a richer colour and more robust character. The finished single malt is described as brimming with dark cherries, toasted hazelnuts and caramel sauce.
