The GlenAllachie – 9 Year Old 2014 Fino Sherry Series (70cl, 48%)

The GlenAllachie 9 Year Old is a Speyside single malt distilled in 2014 and finished in former Fino sherry hogshead casks. It is part of The Wood Collection, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle at natural colour and non-chill filtered. Fino is the driest style of sherry, pale and delicate, and must be aged for at least two years under a yeast layer called flor. The finish in these casks has given the malt stewed pear, sugared almonds and vanilla custard tones.
