This is a single cask Speyside malt from The GlenAllachie, drawn from one 15 year old virgin oak barrel and bottled at 56.9% in a 70cl bottle. The cask yielded 283 bottles.
Fifteen years in virgin oak gives a cask-forward character. The nose has toasted hazelnuts and milk chocolate, then grilled honeycomb, vanilla sponge, fresh pineapple and crisp green apple.
The palate is rich and sweet, with butterscotch, salted caramel, heather honey, vanilla and treacle. The finish is dry and spiced, with baked cinnamon, ginger and a hint of mocha.
