A single cask GlenAllachie from 2011, aged 13 years in an Oloroso sherry hogshead and bottled at 60.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered.
The sherry wood brings rich dried fruit and gentle spice, while the distillery's malt spirit stays in view.
The nose offers dark chocolate, mocha and salted caramel with orange zest, heather honey and a touch of winter truffle. On the palate come dried orchard fruits, stewed plums, muscovado sugar and honeycomb, closing with cinnamon and crystallised ginger. The finish carries oak, soft spice and a lingering fruit sweetness.
