The GlenDronach 18 Year Old Allardice is a Highland single malt named after James Allardice, the founder of the distillery. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is matured exclusively in Spanish oloroso sherry casks, and it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. In the glass it is a bright, deep gold with a tawny centre.
The nose offers fudge, muscovado sugar, fruit compote and morello cherries. On the palate come stewed fruits, allspice, oloroso sherry, toasted walnut bread and chocolate orange. The finish is long and complex.
