The Glenlivet Founders Reserve is a single malt from The Glenlivet distillery, founded in 1824 near Ballindalloch in Moray. It is the oldest legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet.
The nose brings orange zest, toffee, a hint of struck match and chocolate raisins, alongside pear drops, sweet cinnamon, honeysuckle and sweet pea. The palate is fruity, then sweet, with toffee, a touch of anise, milk chocolate, banoffee pie and apple turnovers. Creamy toffee, a little oak and barley sugar warmth follow, and milk chocolate raisins linger.
