The Hakushu 25 Year Old is a Japanese single malt in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It is dark amber in colour and described as deep yet fresh, with silky notes.
The nose combines plum, a cigar humidor and caramel. On the palate come creme brulee, sage, lavender and baked pineapple. The finish is long, with a pleasant smokiness and a hint of cypress (hinoki).
