The Ileach is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, bottled by The Highlands & Islands Scotch Whisky Company, part of The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is a heavily smoky island malt, built around peat smoke, malt, coastal notes, oak and warming spice.
The nose is pronounced peat smoke with herbal and grassy notes. The palate is oily and malty with peppery spice, and the finish is lingering peat that gives way to slightly bitter oak and warming spice.
