The Kurayoshi Matsui Mizunara Cask is a single malt Japanese whisky made by Matsui Shuzo at the Kurayoshi Distillery in Tottori Prefecture. It is bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The malt whisky was distilled in Japan and matured in Japanese Mizunara oak casks. It is brought to bottling strength with spring water from Mount Daisen. The nose is fresh pear, lychee, crisp apple and floral notes. On the palate it is honeyed, with caramelised apple, tangerine, soft malt and white pepper. The finish is smooth, with bittersweet citrus, orchard fruit and soft oak spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
