The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 12 Years Old is a single malt bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was previously sold as Fine Oak 12 Years Old.
The spirit is matured separately in three kinds of cask: European sherry-seasoned oak, American sherry-seasoned oak and American ex-bourbon oak. It stays in the same casks for the full 12 years before the three are married together.
It is usually described through citrus, vanilla and fresh oak.
