The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 12 Years Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was previously known as Fine Oak 12 Years Old.
Three types of cask are used: European sherry seasoned oak, American sherry seasoned oak and American ex-bourbon oak. The spirit matures in each individually for 12 years before the casks are married together. It is described with citrus, vanilla and fresh oak.
