The Macallan 12 Years Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It matures in three kinds of cask: European oak, American oak and ex-bourbon.
It has a straw-yellow colour. The nose is complex, with fruit, nuts and vanilla. The palate is of medium weight, with fruit, oak and spice, and notes of chocolate and sherry are also described.
