The Macallan 15 Year Old Double Cask is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in a combination of European oak and American oak casks, both sherry-seasoned. The European oak adds rich, spicy notes, while the American oak adds sweeter, vanilla-led character. Each cask is hand-selected.
On the nose there are dried fruits, butterscotch and a hint of ginger, with subtle citrus zest. The palate is creamy, with rich raisin, vanilla bean and warm spice, moving to a delicate honeyed sweetness. The finish is long and warm, with oak and dried fruit.
