The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old is a single malt of golden butterscotch colour, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It brings together two oaks: sherry-seasoned American oak, which adds delicate vanilla, and European oak, which adds a subtle spice. The result is a sweeter, warmer whisky.
The nose is dried fruit and butterscotch with baked apples, chocolate and smooth oak. On the palate, sweet raisin and sultana build with cinnamon and nutmeg alongside creamy vanilla. The finish is medium, with lingering oak and spice.
