The Macallan Double Cask 18 Year Old is a single malt matured for 18 years in sherry-seasoned oak casks from both America and Europe. This is the 2021 annual release, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV.
The American oak adds a delicate vanilla note, while the European oak brings a subtle spice. Together they give a whisky with a sweeter, warmer taste and character.
