The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak 2021 Annual Release (70cl, 43%)

This is the 2021 release of The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak, a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The official 18 year old was launched in 1984, after Macallan had tried 17 and 18 year old statements in releases from 1980 and judged 18 years the best maturation. This version was the first to bring in a new packaging style since 2006, replacing the long-running purple box. Since 2016 the label has given the release year rather than the vintage of the whisky.
