This is the 2023 release of The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Year Old, a single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Sherry Oak Collection, whiskies matured in hand-picked, sherry-seasoned European oak casks from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain.
The whisky has a light mahogany natural colour and a full-bodied palate of mature oak, ginger and raisin.
On the nose there are sultanas, orange and ground cinnamon. The palate brings stem ginger, soaked raisins, sticky dates and dark chocolate.
