The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Sherry Oak Collection, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. The collection is matured in hand-picked, sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez.
The nose is treacle tart with stem ginger, soaked raisins and sultanas, with a hint of orange and ground cinnamon. The palate is soft and rich, with dark chocolate-coated ginger, dates and dried apricots, balanced by oak and the sweetness of vanilla.
The finish lingers with dried fruits, ginger and oak.
