This is a single Highland malt from The Macallan, bottled for Atkinson Baldwin & Co. Ltd and labelled by hand. It carries the vintage 1938 and is bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle.
The colour is gold to amber. The nose is smoky, with acacia honey, lilac, beeswax and leather polish, followed by ripe apricots, flower nectar, Seville oranges and a hint of seawater. On the palate it is lively and fruity, with apricot jam, ripe plums, chestnut honey, toasted brioche and pepper.
