Sherry oak
A single malt from Macallan, distilled in 1974 and bottled in 1992 at 18 years old. This is an official bottling, matured in sherry oak and bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. Its colour is amber. The nose is fresher and fruitier than a heavily sherried style might suggest, with floral peony, tangerine liqueur and old roses, then oak, raisins and orange marmalade, with a whiff of smoke. The palate opens dry, with tea, bitter caramel, cake, rum and raisins. The finish is long, dry and clean, with a little salt.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
