TIME : SPACE Mastery was released in 2024 for The Macallan's 200th anniversary and is the second chapter of the TIME : SPACE Collection. This single malt is bottled at 43.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Lead Whisky Maker Euan Kennedy built it from 14 different cask types, including European and American oak sherry-seasoned casks, American oak bourbon casks and refill casks. It comes in a red presentation case with 200 origami spikes, one for each year of the distillery's history.
The nose has Medjool dates, baked figs and milk chocolate, with honey and tropical fruit. The palate brings sherry-soaked dried fruits, orange marmalade and honeycomb, with ginger and cinnamon. The finish has caramelised pineapple and creamy vanilla, with dark chocolate and coffee.
