The Macallan 25 Year Old Fine Oak Triple Cask Matured (Green Ribbon, pre 2018) (70cl, 43%)

This is The Macallan 25 Year Old from the Fine Oak range, a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV, with the Green Ribbon livery from before 2018. It was matured for a minimum of 25 years in a combination of American and European oak casks. These include bourbon and Oloroso sherry oak casks, along with American oak that previously held sherry. The colour is a bright amber. The nose is rich and robust, with peach, blood orange and wood spice. On the palate it is intense, with coconut and vanilla, then sultana, lemon and a touch of peat. The finish is lingering, with sherry, orange and spice.
