This is the 2022 release of The Macallan 25 Years Old Sherry Oak, a single malt bottled at 43%. It spent 25 years in European sherry casks from Jerez.
The nose offers dried fruit, sweet sherry and warm spices. On the palate come raisins, dark chocolate, orange peel, cinnamon and nutmeg, with a touch of oak and a subtle note of smoke. The finish is long and warm, with lingering sweet sherry and oak.
