A Night on Earth in Scotland is a limited edition single malt from The Macallan, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is themed around Hogmanay, the Scottish New Year celebration.
The whisky was matured in sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks and in ex-bourbon barrels. The packaging was created in collaboration with the Japanese-French illustrator Erica Dorn.
The nose is shortbread, fresh vanilla and dried citrus peel. The palate is buttery and bright, with toasted sugar, creamy custard and a gentle fruitiness, and a texture likened to cake. The finish is soft, warming and lightly spiced, with a lasting sweetness.
