This is a limited-edition Highland single malt from The Macallan, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It celebrates the first sunrise of the new year and was created in collaboration with the Chinese artist Nini Sum, whose design draws on light, nature and renewal.
The whisky was matured in sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, with a sparing addition of ex-Bourbon casks.
The nose has toasted oak, caramelised marshmallow, icing sugar, vanilla and berry compote. The palate is caramel with mellow baking spices, vanilla ice cream, pavlova, stone fruits, coconut and manuka honey. The finish is sweet and fruity, with gentle spice and toasted oak.
