The Macallan – Aera (70cl, 40%)

The Macallan Aera is a single malt Scotch whisky created to celebrate Taiwan, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in selected oak casks, and the bottle design draws on the changing colours of the Taiwanese landscape. The house character shows as sweet oak and warming spice. On the palate it is described as balanced, with rich dried fruit, sweet vanilla, toasted oak, soft spice and a little citrus, followed by a smooth, lingering finish.
